Canadian designer Nada Shepherd launches her first fragrance

Expect the unexpected when it comes to Nada Shepherd, the woman behind the Canadian womenswear label Nada. That’s what shoppers learned when they were surprised last month with a dancing flash mob in downtown Toronto, near Dundas Square and in front of Union Station. The purpose of all this choreography? The launch of Shepherd’s first scent, Nada.
“The Nada signature fragrance is for women who are looking for something a little edgy, a little interesting, and a flash mob builds into an amazingly exciting personal experience, just like our fragrance,” said Shepherd in a release.
The scent was blended by the personalized perfume company Aromachology and blends top notes of lotus flower, amber and jasmine with an undercurrent of honeysuckle, ginger and saffron.
“It draws emotion, makes a woman smell good enough to eat–and what happens next is up to her,” said Shepherd.
The fragrance–luxuriously priced at $149–is now available on Shepherd’s newly-launched website nadadesigns.com or at the brick-and-mortar pop-up boutique in Bayview Village (2901 Bayview Ave., 647-351-6633).
